Changelog

New features, improvements and fixes to Rule & Form, as they ship.

AnalyticsLeads

Analytics, counted once

See who came to your site, how they found you and what they came for, with every number adding up to the one above it.

One visit, counted once

Analytics counts every visit exactly once, by how it arrived and the page it landed on. Sources, towns, services and the Spanish share are each a slice of that same total, so every list adds up to the number at the top.

Visits that still arrive at an address from your old site are counted under their own heading, so you can see the old links doing their work.

Your ads keep counting

A Google Ads conversion and a Meta Pixel move with your site. New inquiries keep reporting to your ad accounts, so campaigns never have to start learning again.

Improvements
  • LeadsDownload every lead as a spreadsheet with one click
  • AnalyticsLong lists fold into a single row instead of dropping entries
  • PagesImages below the fold now load as you scroll; the first photo loads first
  • WebsiteService areas in the footer now link to their town pages
Fixes
  • AnalyticsFixed long page titles running past the edge of their table
  • LeadsA lead with a good phone number is kept even when its email is mistyped
  • LeadsA lead is never lost because the spam check could not run

TradesPages

HVAC, electrical, roofing and pest control

Four more trades join plumbing, each with its own services, its own pages and its own answers, written for that trade.

Four new trades

HVAC, electrical, roofing and pest control businesses get a site built for their work: every service they offer, in every town they serve, with homeowner answers written for the trade.

One business, more than one trade

A plumbing or HVAC business that also does electrical work can say so, and its site gains the electrical pages beside its own. A trade that spans two kinds of work is offered once, not twice.

Your old site, read for your trade

An electrical, roofing or pest control website is read in the same way a plumbing site is, so what your old site says about your services carries into the new one.

Improvements
  • TradesA two-word trade now reads naturally in a sentence

WebsiteDomains

Sites that wait for you

A paused site steps back to its free address instead of going dark, and comes back the moment you return.

Nothing is ever deleted

If a plan lapses, your site returns to its free Rule & Form address with every page intact. When the plan resumes, it moves back to your own domain on its own.

A preview wherever it’s shared

Every published page carries its own preview card, so a link shared in a text, on Facebook or in a group chat shows the page’s title, description and image.

Improvements
  • NotificationsYou’re told when your site moves to a new address
  • SpanishA translated page always renders; a phrase too long to translate keeps its original words
Fixes
  • WebsiteAn address no longer on your site answers with a real “not found” or its redirect
  • PagesFixed a note in a page being read as a service address

JobberLeads

Leads, straight into Jobber

Connect Jobber once and every website lead arrives as a new request, with everything that came with it.

Connect in one step

Sign in to Jobber from Settings and you’re connected. Disconnect just as easily, and your Jobber account is released straight away.

A request, with its context

Each lead becomes a Jobber request, never a job or a quote, so your team decides what happens next. The service, the customer’s own words and the page they came from go with it.

A returning customer is matched to their existing client by phone or email. Everyone else arrives as a new client.

Every lead accounted for

If Jobber can’t be reached, the lead waits and is sent again, and each request is checked against Jobber afterwards so nothing is sent twice or missed.

Improvements
  • LeadsEach lead shows where it was handed off, and when
Fixes
  • JobberA disconnected Jobber account is released instead of held

Texting

Text Rule & Form

Text from your phone the way you’d text someone in your office, and get an answer that comes from your own account.

Ask, tell, or ask for work

Ask what’s live, tell it what changed, or ask for something to be done. A text from your verified phone is answered, and the request lands with the right person on our side.

It remembers the conversation

Each text is read with the last couple of days of the same conversation, so a follow-up like “and in Georgetown?” makes sense.

Improvements
  • TextingReplies are written to fit a text: short, plain, and without formatting symbols

Map visibilityBusiness details

Map visibility, on a real map

See where you rank on Google Maps, street by street, for every search term that matters to you.

Forty-nine points around your business

Map visibility checks your Google Maps rank at forty-nine points across your area and draws each one on a real map, coloured by how high you appear there.

Choose any point to see Google’s top ten in that exact spot, and who you’re up against.

Its own place in the portal

Map visibility has its own screen beside AI visibility, and every business on a live plan is scanned twice a month.

Improvements
  • Business detailsAdd several services or service areas at once from a checklist
  • Business detailsAdd area now offers every nearby place, nearest first
  • GoogleThe Google screen says plainly what it checks
Fixes
  • GoogleA Google profile that can’t be read now says so, rather than showing a placeholder

SpanishPages

Your site, in Spanish

Every page can be served in Spanish too, translated from the English and kept in step with it.

Every page, in both languages

Turn on Spanish and every page gains a Spanish version, with a language switcher in the menu. Business names, town names and customer reviews stay exactly as written.

Found in the right language

Each page tells search engines which language it’s in and where its counterpart lives, so a Spanish search finds the Spanish page.

WebsiteBusiness details

Make it yours

Tell your story, introduce your team, and set out your offers and guarantees, right from the Website screen.

Six things only you can say

Your story, your team, your pricing and offers, financing, and your guarantees each have a place on the Website screen. Write them once and they appear on your site where they belong.

Quiet by design

None of it is required and none of it nags. A finished row goes quiet and stays put, so you can come back and change it whenever things change.

Improvements
  • LeadsA lead sent from an offer records which offer it came from
  • Business detailsEach section of your business details has its own Edit link
  • Business detailsWeekly hours accept a full time, AM or PM included

PagesBusiness details

Every state, and an answer for every question

Service areas work anywhere in the country, and every site gains a library of homeowner answers.

Service areas in every state

Towns resolve in all fifty states and DC, including boroughs, consolidated city-counties and every other kind of place, so your town pages are built wherever you work.

Answers

Your site gains a library of homeowner questions, answered for your trade, linked from the menu beside your service areas.

A page for your service areas

A dedicated Service Areas page lists every town you work in and links to each one.

Fixes
  • Business detailsA partial place name is no longer taken for a full match

WebsiteGoogle

Your site stays true to your business

Change a detail once and the live site follows, without leaving an old page or an old link behind.

One update brings it back

When your business details change, the portal shows that the live site no longer matches, and one Update brings every page back in line.

Nothing disappears without a word

Stop offering a service and its page comes off the site straight away, while its old address keeps landing somewhere useful. A live page your details no longer support is brought to you to decide, never kept or dropped silently.

Improvements
  • GoogleA kept page’s search title follows your current business name
  • GoogleYour Google profile’s website link is checked against your saved details
Fixes
  • GoogleYour Google profile no longer points at an old website after the live one changes
  • LeadsFixed a request for details failing when it had no phone number
  • DomainsRetiring a domain now clears its verified status
