Overview

Your team already runs the work in Jobber, and that doesn’t change. When someone asks for work on your website, it shows up in Jobber as a new request, the same kind Jobber’s own online form creates. It usually takes about a minute.

Each request says what the customer needs, in their own words, with their address and the page they came in on. If they’re already one of your clients, it goes on their client. If not, a new client is made for them.

Then the work comes back. As a request becomes a quote, a job and an invoice, Rule & Form sees what it turned into. That’s how it learns which pages and towns bring in the work you want, and builds more of them.

How it works

  1. On your website

    A customer asks for work.

Someone fills in the form on your website. You get a text and an email straight away, as you always do.

  2. Into Jobber

    It lands in Jobber.

A new request appears on the right client, with what they need, their words, their address and the page they came from.

  3. Back to Rule & FormComing soon

    We learn what it became.

When the request turns into a quote, a job and an invoice, Rule & Form sees it, and puts more into the pages and towns that win you that work.

What stays the same

  • Your team works in Jobber exactly as it does today.
  • You decide what every request becomes. Rule & Form never creates quotes, jobs or visits.
  • Nothing already in Jobber is changed or deleted. We only add new requests.
  • Every lead is still texted and emailed to you, so nothing is lost if Jobber is down.
  • Your Jobber account, plan and login stay yours.

Questions

Could the same lead show up in Jobber twice?

No. Every request carries a Rule & Form reference. If a connection drops while a lead is being sent, we look for that reference in Jobber before trying again, so a lead is never added twice.

What exactly is sent to Jobber?

Only what the customer gave on your website: their name, phone, email and address, what they need and their message. We add the page they came in on and a reference. Leads from before you connected aren’t sent.

What if the connection breaks, or I disconnect?

If Jobber stops accepting the connection, we text you and put a Reconnect button in your portal. If you disconnect, the requests already in Jobber stay there. Either way, you still get every lead by text and email.

What if I move to different job software?

Disconnect Jobber and connect the new software in the same place. Leads go to one place at a time, so nothing is split between the two.

Does it cost extra?

No. Sending leads into Jobber is included in your Rule & Form plan. You keep your own Jobber subscription.

Who can see my clients?

You, your team in Jobber, and Rule & Form. We use the connection to look up your clients and add requests, and nothing else.
