How do I see which pages bring in work?
The short answer
Your Analytics screen shows your leads, the phone calls people tap to make from your site, and your visits, each with the page and the way people arrived. Every lead also shows how that customer found you.
Your Analytics screen
Your portal's Analytics screen shows what your website brings in:
- Leads: every form and call-me-back request.
- Phone taps: every time someone taps your number to call you from your site.
- Visits: each visit counted once, by how it arrived and the page it arrived on.
Each one is broken down by the page and how people arrived, like Google search and Maps, Google Ads, Facebook or Instagram, Yelp, or other places. Every list adds up to the totals at the top, so the numbers agree with each other.
On every lead
Each lead in your portal shows how that customer found you, so you can see it one customer at a time, not just in totals.
No setup needed
You don't need Google Analytics, or any tracking of your own, to see this. It's built into your site. If you do use Google Analytics, Google Ads or Meta ads, your own tags keep working alongside it. More on that.
What it can't tell you
Analytics shows where leads come from. It can't see what happened on the phone, or whether the job was booked. That lives in your job software.
It also can't see every step of a customer's decision. Someone might see your truck, ask a neighbor, read your reviews, then search your name and call. Analytics sees the search. Why that matters.
