Who writes the words on my site?
The short answer
We do. Each trade’s pages are written once, with care, and reviewed page by page before any customer gets them. Your name, towns and phone number go into them, and we add wording about each town you serve.
Written once per trade, with care
Before any customer in a trade gets a site, we write that trade's full set of pages: every service, the town pages, the answers library, the about page. Then every page is reviewed and graded, one by one, and anything below our bar is rewritten.
Today that covers plumbing, HVAC, electrical, roofing and pest control.
Then made yours
Your business details go into those pages: your name, phone number, towns, services and story. Your about page is written from your story. If you had an old website, its story is used to write it.
Wording about your towns
Each town you serve gets wording about that town, written for your business, so your town pages don't all say the same thing. This happens after your site is built, in the background, so you never wait for it. You approve it like any other change.
Safety wording is never rewritten
Some pages give homeowners safety advice, like what to do while waiting for an emergency plumber. That wording is written and checked once, and it's never reworded per customer. A machine rewording safety advice on hundreds of sites, with nobody reading each one, is a risk we don't take.
Can I write my own?
Your story, services, towns and other details are yours to change any time on the Business screen. If you'd like something on your site said differently, ask Rule & Form. How to ask.
