How a page gets onto your website
The short answer
Your site starts from a full set of pages written for your trade. The services you do and the towns you serve decide which ones you get. You see every page before it goes live, and nothing goes live until you say so.
Every page on your site follows the same path, from the first build to the day it changes.
- It starts from your trade's pages
We write and review a full set of pages for each trade once, carefully, before any customer gets them. Your site starts from that set.
How this works - Your business decides which pages you get
Every service you do gets a page. Every town you serve gets a page. Untick a service you don't do, and it comes off your whole site.
How this works - Search data checks the plan
We look at what people in your towns actually search for and compare it with the work you do and the pages you have.
How this works - Your details go in
Your name, phone, towns and story go into every page that mentions them. We add wording about each town you serve.
How this works - You see it and approve it
Nothing goes live until you approve the exact version you looked at.
How this works - It goes live, built for Google
Every page gets its own title, description and address, and labels that tell Google what it's about.
How this works - It changes when your business changes
Add a service or a town, change your hours, and your site is updated everywhere it mentions them. You approve the update first.
How this works
Your plan shows every page
The Website plan screen in your portal lists every page in four groups:
- Build: pages that will be built at the next update.
- Keep: pages that are already live.
- Needs your review: anything we want you to look at before it changes.
- Coming off your site: pages that no longer match your business, like a service you stopped offering.
A live page is never quietly deleted. If your business stops supporting a page, it shows up in your plan, and you decide.
